Nearly 300 Bath and Body Works’ associates stepped out of the office and into the community to give back as part of BBW Cares! 2009. This year’s theme was “Care! Connect! Celebrate!”, and once again BBW associates collectively donated hundreds of hours of their time to help Columbus and New York non-profits in need by making meals, sorting food, mulching, painting and preparing educational materials.
- At the Mid Ohio Food Bank in Columbus, associates sorted hundreds of pounds of food to help supply food pantries, soup kitchens and after-school programs in Central Ohio.
- Other associates worked tirelessly at the Salvation Army’s Greenwood Lake Camp in Delaware, Ohio, to create a better camp environment for kids by gardening, painting and mulching among other camp maintenance tasks.
- Without even leaving their desks, the BBW customer service team worked to prepare exhibit materials for Central Ohio’s Center of Science and Industry (COSI) while still responding to customer calls.
- In New York, associates responded to a call from God’s Love We Deliver by helping to prepare meals for men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses.
It was as much about teamwork as hard work, and through giving of their time and talents, the associates of Bath and Body Works enjoyed making a difference in their communities.
